Peoples Bank announced the addition of Brett Cate to the Peoples Bank Board of Directors. Cate graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and earned his Texas Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in 2010. He is currently the Chief Sales Officer for Tyler Technologies, Inc. and is a partner in the family business. Cate serves on the board of the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance and on the Advisory Board for Lubbock Christian University School of Business. In addition to those boards, he serves on the Board of Jochebed’s Hope, an organization that serves children of Indonesia. He is married to Sherry Cate and they attend Monterey Church of Christ. They have two daughters, Tucker Cate and Jordan DeBolt.
Peoples Bank participated in Giving Tuesday by announcing donations to several local non-profit organizations. Peoples Bank gave a donation in honor of bank customers. The charities that received the donations included: Future of Nazareth Fund, High Point Village, Lorenzo Senior Citizens, Lubbock Children’s Health Clinic, Parenting Cottage, Post Volunteer Fire Department, Shallowater ISD’s Back Pack Buddies, Slaton Meals on Wheels, Texas Boys Ranch and The Inside Out Foundation.
Peoples Bank was proud to host Lubbock HYPE at our headquarters. Lubbock HYPE stands for Helping Youth Purposefully Engage. The program offers high school juniors the opportunity to engage in their community in a whole new way. While at the bank, the students had the opportunity to hear from Larry Allen, Chairman and CEO of Peoples Bank.
